Thank you for your comment regarding the building of a community/school pool and future aquatics program. The development of a joint partnership would be an important part of this venture. The district and the city have frequent joint meetings to look at projects from a school and community perspective. The current focus for the schools is the bond measure being placed before the voters in June 2016, to rebuild and modernize the district school's three aging school sites and to address the significant student overcrowding at View and Valley schools.

Great idea to build one! This could actually generate funds for the community. MB has Begg Pool and it is impossible to get on their swim team unless you are a resident. Clubs use Costa, Union, Allondra and Hawthorne and pool time for swim, water polo, aquatics, scuba and springboard diving are hard to find and get into.

Look into corporate sponsors, USA Swimming, USA Water Polo, parent sponsors, etc.

Build it in South Park, on the HBCSD portion of Valley Park (easier sell as it is for ALL residents), move the Rotary Club to the Community Center or even put in the Valley Gym as there are no bleachers there anyhow.

HB has a Women's Gold Medalist in Water Polo. She shouldn't be the only one.
